Red Team Services

Red teaming is an objective-driven attack simulation that tests how a realistic adversary could reach a defined goal, such as access to critical data or systems, without the defenders knowing in advance. Nokta Guard plans each operation around MITRE ATT&CK techniques and measures not only your weaknesses but also your detection and response process.

Red teaming vs. penetration testing

A penetration test aims to find as many vulnerabilities as possible within a defined scope. A red team focuses on reaching an objective, stays stealthy like a real attacker and may combine technical, physical and social engineering methods.

The question it answers: if this were a real attack, would you notice and stop it?

How an engagement runs

Your defenders (blue team) are not told about the operation. Only a small control group on your side (white team) is informed and has the authority to halt the operation if needed.

  1. Objectives and rules: Targets, prohibited actions, the control group and an emergency stop procedure are agreed in writing.
  2. Threat scenario: MITRE ATT&CK techniques are selected based on adversaries targeting your sector.
  3. Reconnaissance and initial access: Entry is attempted through open-source intelligence, phishing or exposed services.
  4. Persistence, lateral movement and objective: Undetected progress is attempted and every step is evidenced.
  5. Reporting and debrief: The attack timeline is presented alongside what defenders detected and missed.

Who is it for?

Organizations that already run regular penetration tests, have a SOC or security monitoring capability, and want to see how their defenses perform against a realistic attack.

Safeguards and ethical limits

A red team must be realistic, but never uncontrolled. Actions that could cause outages, deleting or altering data, and attempts against out-of-scope third parties are prohibited by the rules of engagement.

Sensitive data is accessed only minimally, as evidence, and never taken outside the organization. Physical or social engineering components are included only with written approval.
